Algemene voorwaarden

1. General


These terms apply to all lessons, bookings, and services provided by Surf Staff. By booking a lesson you agree to these terms in full.


2. Bookings & Payment


• All bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation

• Bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received

• We accept iDEAL, credit card, and other methods available at checkout

• Prices are listed in euros and include VAT where applicable


3. Cancellation & Refunds


• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the lesson: full refund

• Cancellations made within 48 hours: no refund, one free reschedule subject to availability

• Weather cancellations by Surf Staff: full refund or free reschedule

• No-shows: no refund

• To cancel, contact us via email or WhatsApp before the 48-hour deadline


4. Health & Safety


• Students must be in good physical health and able to swim

• Students must inform Surf Staff of any medical conditions prior to the lesson

• All students must follow instructor instructions at all times

• Surf Staff reserves the right to refuse or stop a lesson if a student poses a safety risk to themselves or others

• All lessons are conducted in accordance with IKO safety standards


5. Liability Waiver


• Kitesurfing is an extreme sport with inherent risks

• Surf Staff is not liable for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal belongings during lessons

• All students must sign a digital liability waiver before their first lesson

• Students under 18 require written consent from a parent or guardian


6. Equipment


• All equipment is provided by Surf Staff (Naish kites, Prolimit wetsuits)

• Students are responsible for damage caused by negligence or misuse

• Equipment remains the property of Surf Staff at all times


7. Weather & Conditions


• Surf Staff monitors wind and weather conditions daily

• Lessons may be cancelled or modified if conditions are deemed unsafe

• Final decision on lesson suitability rests with the instructor

• Students will be notified as early as possible of any cancellation


8. Privacy


• Personal data collected during booking is used solely for lesson administration

• We do not share your data with third parties

9. Governing Law


These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the Netherlands.

Our Promise

We know life is unpredictable — and so is the North Sea. Here’s exactly what to expect if you need to change your plans.

Cancellation by You

More than 48 hours before your lesson

Full refund, no questions asked. We’ll process it within 5 business days back to your original payment method.


Within 48 hours of your lesson

No refund, but you can reschedule once at no extra cost, subject to availability. Just contact us as soon as possible.


No-show

If you don’t show up without prior notice, the lesson is forfeited and no refund or reschedule will be offered.


Cancellation by Surf Staff

Weather & wind conditions

Kite lessons require suitable wind and safe conditions. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund or a free reschedule — your choice.

Instructor unavailability

In the rare event we need to cancel for operational reasons, you will receive a full refund or priority rebooking.
